Assistant General Counsel (Tech)

TL;DR

Assistant General Counsel (Legal): Managing all aspects of legal and compliance strategy for a C-suite targeting platform with an accent on risk management and commercial contract negotiation. Location: Hybrid (New York City office Tue-Thu, WFH Mon/Fri)

Salary: $225,000–$240,000 base

What you will do

• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify legal risks and devise creative business solutions.
• Draft and negotiate vendor, partnership, technology, and data agreements.
• Support HR and Talent teams on employment-related matters and compliance.
• Assist with litigation and regulatory matters, managing outside counsel.
• Monitor state data privacy and technology legislation.
• Develop legal templates and playbooks to scale internal processes.

Requirements

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Admission and membership in good standing of the New York State bar.
• 8+ years of legal experience, including Big Law.
• Experience in litigation and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Must be based in the New York City area.
