Project Engineer (Mechanical)

What you will do

• Perform mechanical design activities for water and wastewater treatment systems.
• Develop technical specifications and RFQ packages for mechanical equipment.
• Size and specify pumps, blowers, compressors, vessels, tanks, filters, and piping systems.
• Ensure design compliance with engineering standards, customer specifications, and applicable codes.
• Review engineering drawings, bills of materials, and technical documentation for accuracy.
• Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders throughout the project execution lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in an engineering role.
• Experience with mechanical equipment specification and evaluation.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and PFDs, including material balances.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with rotating equipment, piping systems, tanks, and manual valves.
• Knowledge of hydraulic design, including head and NPSH calculations for pump sizing.
• Basic understanding of water chemistry.
• Prior experience in water and wastewater treatment projects.
• Strong technical writing skills.
