What you will do

• Own the architecture, delivery, and technical strategy for scalable Transaction Monitoring services, APIs, and UI components.
• Lead the development of high‑throughput real‑time and batch processing capabilities for fraud and AML detection.
• Manage and coach a globally distributed engineering team, including hiring and resource planning.
• Partner with Product, Compliance, Risk, and Data Science to define and deliver roadmap priorities.
• Oversee the full SDLC, ensuring strong engineering practices including CI/CD, secure coding, and automated testing.
• Lead the resolution of critical production issues and drive root‑cause prevention across the platform.

Requirements

• 12+ years of software engineering experience with 5+ years of direct engineering leadership.
• Strong proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, Angular and/or React, PHP, and C#.
• Cloud-native experience with AWS, including serverless, Docker/Kubernetes, and API Gateway.
• Experience with event-driven architectures (SNS, SQS, ActiveMQ) and distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience building Transaction Monitoring, AML, fraud, or risk systems.
• Background in FinTech, financial services, or payments.
• Experience integrating rules engines or ML models into detection workflows.
