What you will do

• Design and build functional prototypes for UAS subsystems, iterating based on flight test feedback.
• Conceptualize and construct test fixtures for prototype components.
• Perform FEA studies, including defining loading conditions and validating results.
• Prepare technical documentation and fabrication data for manufacturing.
• Collaborate with electrical and software engineering teams on system integration.

Requirements

• Must be based in El Segundo, CA for on-site work.
• Proficiency in Solidworks CAD.
• Experience with FEA (Linear Static, Linear Dynamic, Nonlinear Dynamic, Thermal).
• Knowledge of DFM (Design for Manufacturing) principles.
• Experience with basic manufacturing and 3D printing.
• Basic electrical knowledge and comfort with microcontroller breakout boards.
• Demonstrated technical ability through personal projects, research, or prior experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with Onshape feature scripting.
