What you will do

• Design, develop, and refine prototypes and mock-ups for testing platforms in collaboration with Hardware and System Engineers.
• Create custom electro-mechanical test fixtures tailored to specific application needs.
• Conduct hands-on verification of design requirements through physical testing and analysis in a laboratory environment.
• Partner with suppliers to manage component sourcing, obtain quotes, and ensure manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
• Support the full product development lifecycle, from prototyping to full-scale manufacturing.
• Document all design phases, including specification changes, analysis, and test results.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a BS in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD software for creating detailed mechanical designs and assemblies.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to solve complex problems with practical engineering solutions.
• Must be based in or local to Agoura Hills, CA.

Nice to have

• Experience in designing automation systems, integrating motors, slides, sensors, and controls.
• Familiarity with basic electrical systems and wiring principles.
• Hands-on experience with laboratory testing.
• Experience with software or firmware development for embedded systems.
