What you will do

• Lead state-level government affairs strategy and policy advocacy in Washington.
• Engage with legislators and executive agencies to secure funding and support for water initiatives.
• Drive involvement in legislative sessions and budget cycles to align policy with organizational goals.
• Prepare and deliver testimony, policy briefs, and presentations to decision-making bodies.
• Build and maintain a network of relationships with industry associations and community organizations.
• Organize site visits and educational forums for lawmakers and key stakeholders.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in government relations, public policy, or legislative roles.
• Proven track record of shaping state legislative and budgetary outcomes in the American West.
• In-depth understanding of policy frameworks related to water supply, environment, and agriculture.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Ability to travel approximately 50% or more for legislative sessions and site visits.
• Must be able to work on-site in Olympia, WA or El Segundo, CA.
