What you will do

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers in designing and delivering cloud-native solutions on AWS.
• Partner with cross-functional teams including Product, CloudOps, and R&D to define technical direction.
• Drive Scrum ceremonies and maintain team velocity through effective backlog management.
• Promote engineering best practices including CI/CD, IaC, and automated testing.
• Own the delivery of scalable backend services, APIs, and distributed systems.
• Support team growth through coaching, career development, and recruiting efforts.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in software engineering, with 2+ years in engineering management or team lead roles.
• Proven experience designing and operating production systems using AWS cloud services.
• Hands-on experience with Scrum and Agile methodologies.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to balance technical involvement and people management.

Nice to have

• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or similar Agile certification.
• AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer).
• Exposure to regulated environments such as HIPAA or GDPR.
• Experience working in hybrid or remote team settings.
