What you will do
- Drive new Lakebase revenue by identifying and closing opportunities in partnership with regional Account Executives.
- Articulate the value of fully-managed Postgres for platform teams, developers, and central IT to simplify operational data architectures.
- Manage complex sales cycles from initial discovery and value hypothesis through to commercial negotiation and closing.
- Orchestrate proof-of-value and POCs to validate benefits for OLTP-style workloads and AI/ML-driven applications.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Management and Marketing to shape territory plans and co-selling motions.
- Enable the field by sharing best practices and success stories to scale Lakebase proficiency.
Requirements
- 7+ years of enterprise SaaS sales experience with a track record of exceeding quotas in complex deals.
- Proven success selling data platforms, operational databases (e.g., Postgres, MySQL), or AI infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of cloud-native services, microservices, and how operational data supports AI strategies.
- Ability to engage both technical stakeholders (architects, engineers) and C-level business leaders.
- Experience leading specialist or overlay motions in coordination with core Account Executives.
- Bachelorβs degree or equivalent practical experience.
Nice to have
- Specific experience with Postgres, OLTP workloads, or transactional cloud database services.
- Familiarity with lakehouse architectures and cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Knowledge of reverse ETL, real-time decisioning, and operational analytics use cases.
- Exposure to AI-native and agent-driven applications.
- Experience in high-growth, category-creating environments.
