Medical Assistant (Medtech)

Location: Field-based in or near Hudson County, New Jersey, United States; requires driving to members' homes

Salary: $23–$27 per hour

What you will do

• Partner with providers before, during, and after in-home member visits.
• Support patient care by gathering information, taking vital signs, answering questions, and assisting with translation.
• Perform phlebotomy and other medical tasks as directed by the provider.
• Help close care gaps, review consent forms, and maintain accurate documentation in electronic health records.
• Coordinate outreach and scheduling while maintaining medical supplies and visit readiness.
• Drive independently or with the provider to patient homes.

Requirements

• Medical Assistant certification from an accredited program.
• At least one year of healthcare experience; home-based care experience is beneficial.
• Basic Life Support certification, or ability to obtain it within 30 days of hire.
• Fluent English and Spanish with strong written and verbal communication skills required.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, basic computer skills, and comfort using electronic medical records.
• Ability to walk up three flights of stairs and carry up to 40 pounds of equipment.
