Medical Assistant - Family Medicine Full-time Days (MedTech)

Location: 1800 N. Main St., Wheaton, Illinois, United States. Onsite, full-time daytime position with evening hours until approximately 8 PM one night per week and one Saturday per month from 8 AM to 1 PM.

Salary: $19.13–$25.83 per hour

What you will do

• Prepare patients for examinations, obtain and document vital signs, update medical information, and support efficient patient flow.
• Assist providers with ECGs, venipuncture, immunizations, specimen collection, CLIA-waived testing, and other clinical procedures.
• Prepare, disinfect, sterilize, stock, and maintain examination rooms, equipment, instruments, vaccines, medications, and supplies.
• Communicate professionally with patients, providers, nurses, and other members of the care team in person and by phone.
• Maintain patient confidentiality, support patient satisfaction, follow safety procedures, and complete delegated duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current certification as a CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA, or documentation confirming eligibility to take an approved certification exam.
• Certification must be attained within the first six months of employment and is a condition of employment.
• American Heart Association-accredited BLS/CPR certification.
• Zero to two years of relevant experience and strong computer skills.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program and electronic medical record experience are preferred.
