Medical Assistant - CTI Clinic Full time Days

Location: 676 N. St. Clair, Chicago, IL, United States; onsite day shift

Salary: $19.13–$25.83 per hour

What you will do

• Support physicians, nurses, and licensed medical staff while facilitating efficient patient flow.
• Prepare patients for examinations, obtain vital signs, update medical information, and report significant changes or acute symptoms.
• Assist with ECGs, venipuncture, immunizations, procedure trays, specimen collection, and CLIA-waived testing.
• Prepare, disinfect, sterilize, and stock exam rooms, equipment, instruments, vaccines, and medications.
• Communicate professionally with patients and the care team in person and by phone while protecting patient confidentiality.
• Perform specialty-related delegated procedures and other duties assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current eligible Medical Assistant certification or written proof of eligibility for an approved certification exam.
• American Heart Association-accredited Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification.
• Medical Assistant certification must be completed within the first six months of employment, with up to two test attempts.
• Zero to two years of relevant experience and strong computer skills.
• Onsite work in Chicago, Illinois, United States.

Nice to have

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program.
• One to two years of ambulatory care experience.
• Experience with electronic medical records.
