Certified Medical Assistant RMG Primary Care Full-time Days

Location: 21202 S. Owens Rd, Mokena, Illinois, United States; onsite, full-time daytime schedule

Salary: $19.75–$25.68 per hour

What you will do

• Room patients and provide direct and indirect care under physician and RN/LPN supervision.
• Record medical, surgical, and family histories, medications, vital signs, and other clinical documentation.
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, administer directed medications and injections, and reinforce patient education.
• Perform phlebotomy and point-of-care testing, including urine dips, finger sticks, strep and flu screens, pregnancy tests, cultures, EKGs, pulmonary testing, and chronic disease management testing.
• Maintain infection control, sterilization, room readiness, equipment quality checks, and accurate specimen handling.
• Use medical record and practice management systems for documentation, orders, results, referrals, and charging ancillary services.

Requirements

• At least two years of recent Medical Assistant experience in a physician office or completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• American Heart Association-accredited Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification.
• Completed phlebotomy training or equivalent experience, basic computer knowledge, and proficient, accurate typing.
• Effective verbal and written English communication is required. Ability to identify situations requiring an interpreter and use interpreter services effectively.
• New graduates and hires must obtain an accepted CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA certification within one year of hire; an active Illinois RN or LPN license may substitute for CMA certification.
