What you will do

• Lead and mentor a team of software engineers focused on Linux-based networking system software.
• Collaborate with hardware engineering to meet strict power, performance, and reliability targets.
• Partner with application and cloud teams to ensure seamless end-to-end connectivity behavior.
• Drive technical direction and cross-team initiatives for vehicle communication systems.
• Triage, debug, and lead the team through complex system-wide issues.
• Foster a culture of curiosity, execution, and high-quality software delivery.

Requirements

• Must be based in Mountain View, California
• 7+ years of software development experience, including 3-5 years in a leadership or managerial capacity.
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, sockets, drivers).
• Deep knowledge of system software internals (kernel/driver development, IPC, resource management).
• Proficiency in at least one of C, C++, or Java.
• Experience with networking on Linux, Android, or QNX.
• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of wireless protocols (WiFi, LTE, 5G, Bluetooth, UWB).
• Experience with platform security, secure boot, or OTA pipelines.
• Familiarity with network debugging tools and protocol analyzers.
• Experience shipping highly reliable software using telemetry and observability.
