Engineering Manager (Manufacturing)

TL;DR

Engineering Manager (Manufacturing): Leading system-level DMEDI/NPI activities and managing detailed design documentation for hardware and software within the Excavation Division with an accent on design requirements and validation. Focus on mentoring team members, driving product quality improvements, and coordinating complex cross-functional engineering projects.

Location: Onsite in Mossville, IL (5 days per week). Domestic relocation assistance is available. Visa sponsorship is NOT available.

Salary: $147,760 - $221,640

What you will do

• Lead system-level DMEDI/NPI activities and support DMAIC/CPI initiatives.
• Gather and analyze requirements from internal/external customers, process partners, and regulatory teams.
• Create and manage detailed design documentation for systems, software, electronics, and wiring harnesses.
• Drive hardware and software design requirements through the development, implementation, and validation process.
• Coordinate with Cat Technology and the EXD product group to ensure seamless project execution.
• Mentor team members and develop their skills to deliver impactful features for customers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in managing people, leading successful teams, and resolving workplace conflicts.
• Strong project management skills to plan, organize, and control technical resources effectively.
• Technical excellence in solving significant engineering challenges and applying diverse technology methods.
• Experience in the design of electrical systems and/or wiring harnesses for machines or vehicles.
• Must be authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship.
