Location: Must currently reside in Stockton / San Joaquin County, CA (or within 30 miles), or plan to reside there by July 2026. Some work is remote, but in-person activities throughout the County are required.

What you will do
- Conduct phone and email outreach to potential applicants for the CASH SJC program.
- Guide applicants through the application and enrollment process both virtually and in person.
- Review documentation to verify applicant eligibility for the program.
- Use benefits counseling tools to help recipients understand how the program affects their other benefits.
- Collaborate with the team to improve processes for applicants.
- Support and facilitate scheduled in-person enrollment events throughout San Joaquin County.
Requirements
- Must reside in Stockton / San Joaquin County, CA (or within 30 miles) or relocate there by July 2026.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States at the time of application.
- Proficiency in English.
- Technological literacy, including fluency with computers, tablets, and Excel.
- Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence when working with diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to perform local travel within San Joaquin County.
Nice to have
- Proficiency in Spanish or other languages common in San Joaquin County.
- Experience working with older adults or vulnerable populations.
- Knowledge of California's senior benefit landscape (SSI/SSP, IHSS, CalFresh, Medicare/Medi-Cal).
- Experience supporting individuals experiencing housing instability or homelessness.
