TL;DR

Location: Hybrid (Portland, Maine) - Must be based in the area and work from the main office at least 2 days per week.

Salary: $63,000 - $70,000

What you will do

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for assigned positions to ensure a positive candidate experience.
  • Coordinate onboarding and maintain accurate employee records and documentation.
  • Administer HRIS processes and handle day-to-day HR operational tasks.
  • Serve as a trusted resource for employees and managers regarding HR policies.
  • Support compliance and ensure fair, consistent HR practices across the organization.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in HR, recruitment, or administrative support.
  • Must be able to work in Portland, Maine (hybrid setup).
  • Proven experience handling confidential information and sensitive employee matters.
  • Strong organizational skills and professional communication style.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Paylocity is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

Nice to have

  • Experience working in nonprofit, affordable housing, property management, or healthcare environments.
  • Prior experience using HRIS or applicant tracking systems (ATS).
