TL;DR

Human Resources Generalist (Defense): Performing all aspects of the HR function with an accent on compliance, employee relations, and recruitment. Focus on maintaining federal/state employment law compliance, resolving employee-manager issues, and administering benefit programs.

Location: Beloit, Wisconsin, USA. Must provide proof of US Citizenship (NOFORN requirement)

A leading marine defense contractor providing reliable power systems and aftermarket services to the U.S. Navy, Coast Guard, Military Sealift Command, and Canadian Coast Guard.

What you will do

  • Manage compliance with mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments.
  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Provide administrative support and coordinate employee recognition programs and company events.
  • Consult with management to enhance employee performance and implement HR processes.
  • Investigate and resolve issues between employees and managers in a creative manner.
  • Interpret FMLA and ADA implications and counsel employees on benefit programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related major.
  • 1-3 years of HR experience (experience in a manufacturing environment preferred).
  • Proof of US Citizenship is mandatory; dual citizenship is not permitted.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
