Human Resources Manager

TL;DR

Human Resources Manager (People): Building and owning the entire HR function from scratch with an accent on operational setup, recruiting oversight, and culture development. Focus on hands-on execution of day-to-day HR operations, scaling the team, and supporting an in-office engineering organization.

Location: Must be based in or able to work onsite in Cupertino/Santa Clara, CA (5 days/week)

Salary: $160,000–$210,000

What you will do

• Own all day-to-day HR operations including onboarding, offboarding, and payroll coordination.
• Build HR policies, processes, and internal infrastructure from the ground up.
• Oversee the full recruiting lifecycle and manage external recruiting resources.
• Support in-office operations, employee experience, and facilities coordination.
• Gather employee feedback and implement improvements to define and reinforce company culture.

Requirements

• Must be comfortable working in-office 5 days/week in Cupertino, CA.
• Proven experience owning HR functions in a startup or high-growth environment.
• Strong operator mindset with a history of being hands-on rather than purely strategic.
• Comprehensive experience across HR operations, recruiting, and employee experience.
• Ability to move fast, handle ambiguity, and manage multiple priorities effectively.
