What you will do
- Manage total loss insurance reconciliations and act as a liaison between the company, customers, and insurance carriers.
- Handle deceased customer accounts with professionalism and empathy, ensuring all legal documentation is obtained.
- Support the delinquency and workout team to explore alternatives to prevent account charge-offs or repossessions.
- Coordinate with law enforcement and impound lots regarding seized or impounded collateral.
- Process charge-off eligibility and assign accounts to skip tracing vendors.
- Maintain full compliance with federal and state laws relating to collections, account servicing, and privacy.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED (some college coursework preferred).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in financial services, preferably within auto finance collections or servicing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace.
- Must be compliant with US federal and state laws.
Nice to have
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
- Prior experience with insurance claims, total loss processing, or estate account servicing.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including potential overtime.
