Unit Manager, Speciality Account Handling (Fintech)

What you will do

• Lead, coach, develop, and mentor a team of specialized account-handling professionals.
• Manage daily operations, case prioritization, and resource allocation for disputes, complaints, bankruptcy, and fraud cases.
• Own client service-level commitments, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and support client audits.
• Monitor quality performance, identify operational risks, and maintain audit readiness through effective internal controls.
• Analyze performance metrics and work with Technology and Automation teams to standardize processes, eliminate backlogs, and scale operations.

Requirements

• 3+ years of people-management experience in financial services, servicing operations, compliance, collections, or a similarly complex operational environment.
• Experience managing workflows governed by strict regulatory or client compliance standards.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and stakeholder-collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work on-site in Lenexa, Kansas.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of FCRA, FDCPA, UDAAP, CFPB, or bankruptcy regulations.
• Experience guiding teams through operational transformations or formal audits.
