What you will do

• Instruct and manage external counsel on the drafting of finance documents for US transactions.
• Manage multiple transactions simultaneously and ensure all conditions precedent are satisfied.
• Coordinate with borrowers, sponsors, and co-lenders to deliver high-quality execution products.
• Work with Business Development, Credit, and Operations teams to structure and finalize deals.
• Advise on US lending customs and practices for sponsor finance and middle-market transactions.
• Leverage GenAI tools to increase productivity and enhance decision-making.

Requirements

• Attorney or experienced loan closer with 5+ years of experience in C&I transactions.
• Strong focus on sponsor finance and cash flow lending in the lower to middle market.
• Outstanding legal and commercial banking expertise across multiple finance areas.
• Ability to manage senior stakeholders across US and UK businesses.
• Strong project management skills and high attention to detail.
• Must be based in New York.
