What you will do

  • Manage the full employee and contractor lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, and records maintenance.
  • Lead full-cycle recruiting processes from job posting and sourcing to candidate evaluation and offers.
  • Administer health benefits and 401(k) retirement plans, serving as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries.
  • Maintain HRIS data integrity, conduct audits, and improve internal data processes.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state employment requirements across a multi-state distributed team.
  • Draft professional company-wide communications and coordinate internal logistics and events.

Requirements

  • 4–7+ years of experience in a People Operations or HR Generalist role.
  • Proven ability to independently manage core HR processes and full-cycle recruiting.
  • Familiarity with US multi-state employment compliance, including state-specific leave laws and wage/hour basics.
  • Strong accuracy and discretion when handling confidential sensitive data.
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience working within a remote agency environment.
  • Proficiency with HRIS platforms (e.g., Gusto) and project management tools (e.g., Asana).
