Quality Engineer (Automotive)

What you will do

• Manage overall quality requirements and improvements for specific production lines and customer products.
• Coordinate APQP projects, including the development of Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, and PFMEAs.
• Design and develop specialized gaging and Quality system procedures to maintain system integrity.
• Apply quality tools such as Pareto analysis and Mistake Proofing to prevent and reduce waste.
• Resolve customer concerns using problem-solving processes including 8D, Five Whys, and root cause analysis.
• Facilitate Customer PPAP submissions and review systems for non-conformances.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in a manufacturing quality role, preferably within the automotive industry.
• Hands-on experience with PPAP, APQP, PFMEA, GD&T, and SPC.
• Familiarity with IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 standards.
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Danville, KY, US.

Nice to have

• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or similar certification.
• Experience working with a Tier 1 automotive supplier.
