What you will do
- Own electrode process quality and define critical quality characteristics and controls for designated unit operations.
- Develop and maintain quality documentation including process flow diagrams, control plans, and risk analyses.
- Lead data-driven process monitoring using statistical tools (SPC) to detect trends and reduce overall variation.
- Plan and execute measurement system studies and support the introduction of new electrode materials.
- Lead structured problem solving for yield, scrap, and performance issues related to electrode manufacturing.
- Partner with engineers to validate inspection systems and develop sampling plans for state-of-the-art Li-ion chemistries.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- 3+ years of experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated experience with materials sampling, testing, and chemical process operations.
- Working knowledge of core quality engineering tools (SPC, Pareto) and ISO 9001/IATF 16949 principles.
- Experience using data analysis tools such as Excel, JMP, or Minitab.
- Must be authorized to work in the US; no immigration sponsorship provided.
Nice to have
- Experience in roll-to-roll processing for slurries and coated materials.
- Familiarity with analytical characterization techniques (particle size analysis, rheology, microscopy).
- Working knowledge of AIAG automotive core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC).
- Prior experience developing quality systems in a new plant, pilot line, or technology start-up environment.
