Location: Hybrid (Toronto Office)

Salary: 130,000 - 150,000 CAD per year

What you will do

• Develop the Horizon Cloud Platform leveraging Kubernetes, Redis, and event-driven message bus systems.
• Design and build high-performance real-time microservices, taking ownership of key stack components.
• Develop services using asynchronous Python and Golang coroutines.
• Research and create technical documentation, software designs, evaluation plans, and technical manuals.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
• 3+ years of commercial experience in cloud distributed systems and high-scale designs with Golang and async Python.
• Expertise in Kubernetes, Redis, Elastic Search, SQL, RabbitMQ or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of public cloud design, microservice architectures, security, and global network infrastructure.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, and HTTP/S.
• Experience with AWS.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with data analytics tools such as Pandas, Polars, and OLAP (DuckDb, ClickHouse).
• Kubernetes Application Developer Certification (CKAD).
• Experience with GCP or Azure.
