Senior Software Engineer - Evisort AI (Python/Typescript)

Location: Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada; hybrid work with at least 50% of each quarter spent in the office or in the field

Salary: CAD 140,000–210,000 base pay, with potential bonus and annual refresh stock grants

What you will do

• Build and evolve an AI-driven contract management platform for legal and business teams.
• Design and develop high-performance backend services and APIs in Python for communication between microservices.
• Own functional areas across development and production using a “you build it, you run it” approach.
• Monitor and optimize platform performance across integrations and backend services.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, logging, and observability dashboards.
• Collaborate with engineering, data science, product, and design teams while mentoring teammates.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• 5+ years of experience with web development frameworks, preferably Python or TypeScript with Flask, NestJS, Express, Django, or FastAPI.
• Experience designing, building, and operating SaaS products in cloud environments, preferably AWS.
• Experience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL, and familiarity with Elasticsearch or other document stores.
• Knowledge of LLMs, agent development, distributed systems, event-driven architectures, DevOps, CI/CD, automated testing, and observability.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes, plus strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Sentry and Grafana, including building and monitoring dashboards.
• Experience designing scalable, high-performance APIs with backwards compatibility.
