Functional Test Engineer

Location: Belgium, with a hybrid arrangement allowing up to 70% work from home. The flex abroad program allows working abroad for up to 45 days.

What you will do

• Define test strategies with project team members while balancing test coverage, time, and budget.
• Execute structured software testing and report application quality and associated risks to management.
• Assess application readiness for release based on testing outcomes.
• Analyze requirements, specifications, stories, and other documentation to create logical and physical test cases.
• Adapt testing approaches to changing project circumstances and proactively resolve testing challenges.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Informatics, Mathematics, or a similar technical field.
• At least two years of experience in structured software testing.
• Fluency in Dutch and English, with a good command of French.
• Strong analytical skills, flexibility, and a consistent focus on quality.
