Applicant Services Manager (Affordable Housing)

Salary: $33.34 - $38.47 per hour

What you will do

• Oversee the leasing team and manage the full applicant journey from initial inquiry through lease-up.
• Lead applicant intake and waitlist operations across multiple communities to ensure timely and responsive processing.
• Partner with Property Management, Compliance, and Development teams to achieve occupancy goals.
• Ensure all leasing operations adhere to strict regulatory standards and fair housing practices.
• Continuously refine and improve processes to enhance the applicant experience and expand equitable housing access.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in affordable housing; leasing experience preferred.
• Designation in LIHTC, RD, and/or HUD from a nationally recognized trainer or Property Management required.
• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience within a team.
• High school diploma required; bachelor’s or associate degree preferred.
• Strong technical skills in office software; experience with Yardi or similar property management software preferred.
• Deep understanding of fair housing practices and regulations.

Nice to have

• Experience working with disadvantaged populations.
• Familiarity with housing eligibility determination processes.
• Bachelor’s or associate degree.
