What you will do

• Implement engineering solutions to meet the technical requirements of Naval customers.
• Review and execute product designs for compliance with engineering principles and company standards.
• Develop, test, and own new weld processes from design and fabrication through customer review.
• Perform root cause analysis of welding defects and provide corrective actions.
• Coordinate technical developments and scheduling with in-house manufacturing and outside vendors.
• Qualify new vendors and establish sound working relationships.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or related Engineering (Weld engineering degree preferred).
• 1–5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Knowledge of industry welding standards (AWS, ASME), with a preference for Naval standards.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks or AutoCAD and familiarity with ANSI drawing standards.
• Practical experience with GTAW, GTAW-HW, GMAW-P, and PAW welding processes.
• Proof of US Citizenship is mandatory (no dual citizenship) for access to Unclassified Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information.

Nice to have

• Experience with robotic operation and programming.
• Experience in welding automation development and operation.
• Familiarity with Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and other inspection aspects.
