What you will do

• Perform surface finishing of fixed and controllable pitch propeller blades using grinding equipment.
• Conduct minor cosmetic weld repairs and record propeller geometry and thickness dimensions.
• Execute finishing operations on hub bodies, fairwater covers, and hub cones.
• Perform Liquid Penetrant Inspection (LPI) and balance propeller components and hub assemblies.
• Utilize established standard operating procedures to ensure quality in naval power technology.
• Handle and lift various items weighing up to 50 pounds.

Requirements

• Some High School Diploma.
• 5 years of machining experience in surface finishing of large castings.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and utilize precision measuring equipment.
• Physical ability to lift 50 pounds.
• USA Citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a DOD Confidential Security clearance prior to start.

Nice to have

• Ability to operate cranes, forklifts, and material handling equipment.
• Experience in performing Liquid Penetrant Inspection (LPI).
