What you will do
- Stand up and define the TPM function's operating and engagement models within the R&D organization.
- Manage, coach, and grow a team of senior IC TPMs.
- Own the cross-functional interface fabric between Engineering, Product, and Design (EPD) and the rest of the company (GTM, Support, PMM).
- Establish and author the company standard for project management within Linear, including project structure and milestone conventions.
- Own the dependency graph and launch readiness for major cross-functional programs and platform initiatives.
- Build program-level rollup infrastructure to make program state legible to leadership without increasing load on engineering teams.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in technical program management, including scaling TPM functions in high-growth software companies.
- Experience managing a team of senior IC TPMs and maintaining a high bar for the function.
- Strong technical fluency, including the ability to read code to identify plan risks and discuss architecture with senior engineers.
- Proven track record of building cross-functional interfaces between engineering and field teams that withstand launch pressure.
- Expertise in operating Linear, Jira, or equivalent tools at scale, including defining company-wide standards.
- Ability to communicate with precision in writing and asynchronously within a globally distributed team.
