Senior Software Engineer (Frontend Infrastructure)

Location: Vancouver, Canada; office-centric hybrid schedule. Standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday; working from home on Wednesday is generally available, while Friday depends on the work and partner teams.

Salary: $176,000–$200,000 CAD base salary per year, plus possible equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead, design, and execute initiatives that improve web application performance.
• Investigate and resolve high-impact scalability issues across the product and frameworks.
• Improve frontend infrastructure, data loading, and asynchronous execution across the shared technology stack.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure teams to increase visibility into performance and scalability problems.
• Drive technical projects through complex code and systems while communicating business impact to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Mentor engineers and help them identify and resolve root causes of performance issues.

Requirements

• 6+ years of full-time professional software development experience with large codebases.
• 3+ years of experience with modern frontend web technologies, especially frontend infrastructure such as data fetching, routing, and build systems.
• Experience leading challenging technical projects and driving changes in complex systems.
• Excellent communication skills and sound judgment in balancing development speed, code quality, and maintainability.
• Strong interest in web performance optimization and scalability challenges.
• Experience or willingness to mentor other engineers on technical issues.
