Salary: $150,000 – $200,000 + Equity

What you will do
- Lead and coach a distributed offshore People Ops team to ensure operational rigor and high service delivery standards.
- Oversee end-to-end payroll processing, tax withholding, and year-end reporting (W-2s) for all employee populations.
- Manage the full suite of health and retirement programs, including open enrollment and vendor performance.
- Direct global operations and EOR partnerships for international employees, coordinating with Finance on cost forecasting.
- Own the federal, state, and local compliance calendar and lead all payroll and documentation audits.
- Streamline the employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding and coordinate immigration filings and visa tracking.
Requirements
- 7+ years of progressive People Operations experience in payroll, benefits, and compliance.
- Experience at a fast-growing startup that scaled from 150 to 350 employees.
- Must be based in specific US states (AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IL, MA, NC, NJ, NY, NV, OR, TN, TX, UT, VA) or Ontario, Canada.
- Proven experience managing distributed or offshore operations teams.
- Strong understanding of multi-state employment compliance and operational risk management.
Nice to have
- Experience managing EOR platforms such as Deel, Remote, Rippling Global, Oyster, or Papaya.
- Familiarity with immigration support processes and vendor coordination.
- HRIS expertise and experience driving process automation.
