What you will do

• Develop and iterate the hirify.global AI strategy, focusing on product positioning, monetization, and competitive moats.
• Lead analytical work for strategy reviews, board-prep materials, and annual operating plans.
• Drive 3–5 high-impact cross-functional initiatives such as market entry launches and platform partnerships.
• Architect the Japan partner landscape across device distribution, commerce destinations, and AI agent surfaces.
• Represent the General Manager in CXO-level conversations with carriers, OEMs, and regulators.
• Analyze inorganic growth options, including JV structures and M&A targets in the region.

Requirements

• 7–10 years of experience in top-tier strategy consulting (McKinsey, BCG, Bain), M&A advisory, or high-growth tech/media operating roles.
• Must be based in or willing to relocate to Tokyo with legal right to work in Japan.
• Business-level Japanese (spoken and written) and fluent English proficiency.
• Ability to produce board-ready memos and decks independently.
• Willingness to travel within Japan, APAC, and to Bangalore.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI/ML platforms, consumer mobile ecosystems, or e-commerce.
• MBA from a leading institution.
• Existing CXO network within telco, OEM, and retail sectors in Japan.
• Prior experience as a senior representative for a foreign company in Japan.
