Senior Manager, Client Consulting (Fintech)

Location: Tokyo, Japan; hybrid work with office attendance confirmed by the Hiring Manager.

What you will do

• Lead strategic consulting engagements from project planning and problem solving through recommendation development and high-quality delivery.
• Advise financial institutions and ecosystem partners on payments, portfolio growth, customer acquisition, engagement, loyalty, digital transformation, and business growth.
• Build data-driven insights and executive-level presentations addressing complex business challenges.
• Manage cross-functional project teams and senior client stakeholders to deliver measurable business impact.
• Partner with account executives, product specialists, data science, risk, marketing, client services, and sales teams to shape consulting solutions and opportunities.
• Develop consultants and project team members through regular coaching and feedback.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in client-facing consulting, corporate strategy, business transformation, or related advisory roles.
• Experience structuring complex business problems, developing actionable recommendations, and leading client-facing engagements.
• Experience managing stakeholders and presenting recommendations to senior management.
• Strong strategic thinking, analytical problem-solving, communication, and prioritization skills.
• Native-level Japanese and business-level English communication skills.

• Strategic or management consulting experience.
• Experience in financial services, payments, banking, fintech, digital commerce, or related industries.
• Experience with growth, product, customer engagement, or loyalty strategies.
• Experience using data and analytics to develop business insights.
