TL;DR

Head of People (Healthtech): Leading the People function to scale organizational systems and foster a high-performance culture with an accent on performance management, compensation strategy, and talent development. Focus on building scalable HR infrastructure, partnering with leadership on headcount planning, and driving data-informed decision-making to support rapid company growth.

Location: Must be based in New York City and able to work in the office 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)

Salary: $275,000–$350,000

What you will do

  • Lead and scale the People function, managing the full employee lifecycle including onboarding, performance, and engagement.
  • Partner with the leadership team on organizational design, headcount planning, and company-wide goal setting.
  • Establish and monitor key people metrics to guide decision-making and drive accountability.
  • Build and run scalable processes for performance reviews, compensation planning, and leveling frameworks.
  • Develop programs that strengthen culture and employee engagement with measurable outcomes.
  • Own HR systems and tools, ensuring data accuracy and process automation.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Consulting, People, or HR roles, with 5+ years leading teams.
  • Proven expertise in designing and scaling people systems, including performance management and compensation.
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience building dashboards and defining KPIs.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with executives and influence leadership.
  • Hands-on, builder mindset with the ability to operate strategically and tactically.
  • Must be based in New York City and available for 3 days/week in-office work.
