TL;DR

Director of Total Rewards and Talent Management: Leading the design and optimization of performance, compensation, and talent infrastructure with an accent on building scalable systems from first principles. Focus on developing high-performance organizational frameworks, managing complex compensation cycles, and leveraging people analytics to drive operational efficiency.

Location: Must be based in New York City and work in the office 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday).

Salary: $230,000–$275,000

What you will do

  • Lead the development of performance, internal movement, and compensation infrastructure.
  • Manage bi-annual performance reviews, promotions, and compensation planning cycles.
  • Evolve job architecture, leveling, competency frameworks, and pay bands.
  • Own the design and administration of healthcare benefits, 401k, and perks.
  • Act as the product manager for People systems, driving automation and operational efficiency.
  • Design People Analytics dashboards to assess organizational health and identify improvements.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in People/HR, with 2+ years in a leadership role at a pay-for-performance organization.
  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets abilities are required.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex initiatives in a high-bar, rapidly evolving environment.
  • Strong written communication and visual design skills for tools and training.
  • Deep understanding of innovative performance and compensation practices.
  • Must be able to work in the New York City office 3 days per week.

  • Experience with healthcare benefits design and administration.
  • Product or consulting experience.
  • Experience building scalable compensation planning tools and people analytics dashboards.
  • AI capabilities.
