TL;DR
Talent Development & Enablement Director (AI/People Ops): Building the playbook for career growth, performance, and learning within an AI-native company with an accent on role design and AI upskilling. Location: Must be onsite 4–5 days per week in Seattle, WA or Santa Barbara, CA. Candidates must reside in a hybrid office city or a designated hiring hub in the US.
Salary: $170,000 - $235,000 per year

What you will do
- Redesign role charters and career ladders to reflect AI-augmented expectations and competency models.
- Own the end-to-end performance management cycle, including calibration, 360 reviews, and manager tooling.
- Design and execute a company-wide AI upskilling strategy to produce measurable productivity gains.
- Develop onboarding programs and manager enablement playbooks for leads from first-time managers to senior directors.
- Drive a data-informed operating rhythm by inspecting AI proficiency and productivity gains with leadership.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in talent development, organizational development, L&D, or performance management.
- Daily fluency with AI tools (e.g., Claude, Claude Code) in personal professional workflows.
- Proven track record of building career ladders, competency models, or leveling frameworks from scratch.
- Experience partnering cross-functionally with VP and C-level executives as a trusted thought partner.
- Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future.
- Ability to be onsite 4-5 days per week in Seattle or Santa Barbara.
Nice to have
- Experience inside an AI-native or AI-forward company.
- Background redesigning roles specifically in response to AI adoption.
- Experience with Rippling (HRIS) and modern performance management tools.
- Prior exposure to healthcare, SaaS, or other regulated industries.
