TL;DR

What you will do

  • Build and lead the Solutions Engineering team, including hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance management.
  • Partner with Sales leadership across the full deal cycle from discovery and technical qualification to POCs and architecture reviews.
  • Act as a player-coach, personally leading the most strategic enterprise engagements and complex technical discussions.
  • Define the SE playbook, including demo standards, POC methodology, and account coverage models.
  • Synthesize field signal into a prioritized feedback loop to shape the product roadmap.
  • Collaborate directly with founders to shape GTM strategy and technical positioning.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in solutions engineering or sales engineering supporting enterprise or regulated customers.
  • 2+ years of experience directly managing or leading technical IC teams.
  • Technical proficiency in Python, APIs, infrastructure, and modern cloud/Kubernetes-based deployments.
  • Proven experience partnering with Sales, Product, and Engineering leadership.
  • Ability to build operational systems for forecasting, capacity planning, and POC frameworks.
  • Must be based in San Francisco for an in-person role.

Nice to have

  • Experience building a Solutions/Sales Engineering function from the ground up at a high-growth startup.
  • Experience supporting technical buyers in regulated industries such as financial services, healthcare, legal, or insurance.
  • Knowledge of current developments in ML/AI and the agentic AI space.
