TL;DR

Solutions Architect/Sales Engineer (AI): Owning the technical sales motion for an open-source AI Gateway with an accent on enterprise architecture and technical demonstrations. Focus on bridging the gap between complex LLM infrastructure and customer production environments to drive adoption and closing.

Location: 5 days/week on-site in San Francisco, CA. Visa transfers accepted, but no new sponsorships.

Salary: Base $150K–$220K | OTE $200K–$275K + Equity

A YC-backed startup building AI Gateway infrastructure used by Adobe, Netflix, Nvidia, and NASA.

What you will do

  • Own and execute technical demos for enterprise prospects at high volume.
  • Act as the primary technical expert on customer calls regarding architecture and integration.
  • Manage approximately 50 active sales opportunities through a fast-paced cycle.
  • Support post-sales onboarding to ensure production-ready AI Gateway architecture.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to influence the roadmap based on customer insights.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in a technical, customer-facing sales role (Solutions Architect or Sales Engineer).
  • Proven track record of demoing developer tools (e.g., Datadog, Snowflake) to enterprise engineers.
  • Proficiency in Python to conduct live demos and discuss architecture independently.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field from a US university.
  • Ability to operate autonomously and create structure in an ambiguous, early-stage environment.
  • Must be based in or able to work on-site in San Francisco.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Rust.
  • Computer Science degree.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML infrastructure, LLM APIs, or cloud platforms.
