TL;DR

Lead Product Support & Mechanical Development Engineer (Mechanical Engineering): Leading the technical interface for component qualification and complex design of engine systems with an accent on PPAP, DFMEA, and product support for serial products. Focus on solving technical problems in reciprocating internal combustion engines and mentoring engineering teams.

Location: Waukesha, WI. This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

What you will do

  • Lead the technical interface to sourcing and quality for component qualification through PPAP.
  • Develop new engine systems and components, creating technical requirements for complex design activities.
  • Execute multiple simultaneous projects using DFSS and DFR principles, utilizing CTQ flow-downs and DFMEA.
  • Perform engineering studies and calculations, defining requirements for simulation and physical validation.
  • Lead cross-functional development teams and RCA projects.
  • Provide technical engineering support to manufacturing, purchasing, and application engineering teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology.
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in mechanical design/development of reciprocating internal combustion engines.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • Proficiency in GD&T, tolerance calculation, and DVA tools.
  • Experience with simulation/FEA and engine testing/DVP.
  • Knowledge of ISO, DFMEA, DFSS, and DFR quality standards.
  • Experience with rapid prototype techniques and new product design leadership.
