What you will do
- Deliver interactive virtual training sessions via Microsoft Teams for new-hire onboarding and ongoing skill development.
- Develop curricula for claims processing, including adjudication, regulatory compliance (Texas Insurance Code), and coding basics (ICD-10, CPT).
- Coach staff on contact center standards, empathetic communication, and escalation handling for complex cases.
- Create and maintain SOPs, job aids, e-learning modules, and knowledge-check assessments.
- Partner with SMEs to translate operational nuances into detailed role-specific training materials.
- Monitor staff performance to identify training gaps and deploy targeted interventions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Education, or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in health plan operations and 2-4 years in a training or coaching role.
- Working knowledge of claims adjudication, appeals, grievances, and ICD-10/CPT coding.
- Expertise in contact-center operations and virtual facilitation via Zoom or Microsoft Teams.
- Experience with Salesforce, Vonage, or comparable CRM and telephony platforms.
- Must align with CST/EST business hours
Nice to have
- Certification in instructional design or adult learning (CPLP, ATD).
- Experience with e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Rise, or Adobe Captivate.
- Familiarity with CMS Star Ratings, NCQA, or URAC accreditation standards.
- Background in employer-sponsored health plan administration.
