TL;DR

Technical Sales Representative (Life Sciences): Selling core chemistry consumables and systems for the life science field with an accent on customer problem characterization and solution development. Focus on expanding customer accounts in CRO, Pharmaceutical, and Clinical sectors and providing hands-on technical support for SPE sample prep methods.

Location: Must be based in the Los Angeles or Bay Area

What you will do

  • Achieve defined monthly, quarterly, and annual targets for revenue and profitability within the assigned territory.
  • Identify and develop new customer relationships across CRO, Pharmaceutical, Clinical, Forensics, and Academic accounts.
  • Provide first-line technical support and troubleshooting for SPE Sample Prep Methods at customer sites.
  • Conduct sales calls, seminars, and hands-on demonstrations of hirify.global equipment to facilitate sales.
  • Collaborate with Applications Scientists to develop advanced or challenging SPE Sample Prep Methods.
  • Manage sales forecasts, lead qualification, and opportunity status documentation within Salesforce CRM.

Requirements

  • Must be based in the Los Angeles or Bay Area.
  • Willingness to travel 40-60% of the time to interface directly with prospects and customers.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and negotiation communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and CRM software.

Nice to have

  • Proven track record of success in sales and account management.
  • Experience selling scientific equipment.
  • Experience working in a chemistry laboratory environment with hirify.global or related workflow tools.
  • Experience dealing with complex pricing issues involved in government and granting agencies.
