TL;DR
Senior Product Manager (Automotive): Defining and executing the strategy for in-vehicle identification and authentication systems to enable secure and personalized access with an accent on balancing user friction with trust. Focus on integrating AI, simplifying access patterns for shared vehicles, and collaborating across design, legal, and engineering teams.
Location: Hybrid. Must be based in Mountain View, CA or Warren, MI (report to office at least 3 times a week).
Salary: $125,200 – $192,700

What you will do
- Define and own the product vision and roadmap for trust and access experiences within vehicles.
- Balance user friction vs. trust using Design Thinking methodologies to increase adoption.
- Collaborate with design and research to define when experiences require additional trust.
- Serve as the voice of the customer to define access patterns for shared-vehicle use cases and rationalize PIN experiences.
- Monitor emerging personalization trends, technologies, and threats to inform and prioritize the product roadmap.
Requirements
- 5+ years of product management experience, preferably in automotive or consumer technology.
- Direct experience with consumer products.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Must have valid US work authorization; no immigration sponsorship provided now or in the future.
- Ability to drive alignment across Vehicle, Design, Legal, Privacy, and Engineering teams.
Nice to have
- Experience with Android Automotive, infotainment platforms, or connected devices.
- Background in parental controls, family products, or smart home/gaming household profiles.
- Familiarity with cross-device product experiences spanning mobile and vehicle.
- Trust and Safety domain experience.
