What you will do

• Support the site's Health & Safety strategy in accordance with UK legislation (e.g., Health and Safety at Work Act 1974).
• Implement and monitor safe systems of work, risk assessments, and method statements.
• Ensure compliance with environmental legislation, permits, and ISO 14001 standards.
• Investigate accidents and near misses using root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Deliver EHS training and coaching to employees and managers to promote a strong safety culture.
• Maintain emergency response plans and act as the main contact for the HSE and Environment Agency.

Requirements

• NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health or equivalent.
• IEMA Certificate in Environmental Management or equivalent.
• Experience in the chemical manufacturing or chemical distribution industry.
• Strong working knowledge of EHS Management Systems.
• Ability to work onsite in Middlesbrough, UK.
