Policy Analyst (DoD)

Policy Analyst (DoD): Supporting program analysis, acquisition planning, and operational coordination for biometric systems within DoD environments with an accent on quantitative and qualitative data analysis. Focus on identifying trends, managing field support schedules, and ensuring alignment with Army operational requirements and acquisition processes.

Location: Must be based in Fort Belvoir, VA

What you will do

• Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis of program, operational, and contract data to identify trends and risks.
• Develop reports, briefings, and recommendations regarding program status, financial performance, and operational readiness.
• Coordinate planning and execution activities for New Equipment Training (NET) and fielding operations.
• Maintain schedules for Field Support Representatives, including staffing, cost, and operational support requirements.
• Analyze system readiness metrics to ensure required operational availability rates.
• Collaborate with government stakeholders and contractors to support program objectives and milestone activities.

Requirements

• Active Secret Clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical or managerial discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in program or project management.
• PMP certification or DAWIA Practitioner Level certification in Program Management.
• Strong understanding of the acquisition lifecycle, FAR/DFARS regulations, and Army procurement processes.
• Experience supporting geographically distributed teams and CONUS/OCONUS operational environments.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting DoD biometric programs or identity management systems.
• Familiarity with Army fielding, sustainment, and New Equipment Training (NET) processes.
• Experience coordinating with OEM vendors supporting biometric or mission systems.
• Experience supporting operational readiness assessments and field support planning.
