TL;DR

Director of HR (SaaS): Managing and overseeing all HR functions, including benefits administration, performance management, and HR compliance with an accent on scaling processes for growth and innovation. Focus on redefining the employee experience and the overall operating model powered by data, trends, and insights.

Location: On-site 5 days / week based out of the Chicago office

Salary: $170,000 - $210,000 per year

What you will do

  • Manage the day-to-day work of the HR operations team, ensuring consistent operational processes.
  • Oversee benefits, PTO, compliance, and HR operations for both employees and contractors.
  • Scale existing people processes and implement tools to support rapid organizational growth.
  • Redefine the employee experience and operating model using data-driven insights and trends.
  • Administer employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Handle domestic and international immigration needs and collaborate cross-functionally with Payroll, IT, and Legal.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in HR and/or People Operations, preferably at a high-growth Tech/SaaS company.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, business administration, or a related field.
  • Experience implementing performance feedback, rewards & recognition, and wage & hour compliance programs.
  • Proficiency with Google Drive/Apps, Microsoft Suite, HRIS (Ultipro/UKG preferred), and ATS (Lever).
  • Must be based in or be able to work on-site 5 days a week in Chicago.

Nice to have

  • HR certification such as SHRM-CP or PHR.
