Director of HRIS & Payroll (UKG): Leading the end-to-end management of the organization’s HCM/HRIS system and multi-state payroll operations with an accent on system architecture, compliance, and scalable integration. Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Miami, FL (Hybrid)
Salary: $115,000 – $140,000 + Bonus

What you will do
- Serve as the primary system owner and lead practitioner for UKG Pro and Workforce Management.
- Design and deploy enterprise configuration strategies, including pay rules, workflows, and integrations.
- Execute multi-state, multi-entity payroll cycles while transitioning transactional tasks to an offshore team.
- Develop SOPs, training materials, and process documentation for the broader HR team.
- Partner with M&A leadership to integrate new acquisitions into the UKG environment without configuration sprawl.
- Build reporting infrastructure and dashboards to provide visibility into payroll accuracy, compliance, and headcount metrics.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on UKG Pro and Workforce Management experience (configuration, administration, and reporting).
- 10+ years of progressive experience in payroll and HRIS.
- Deep expertise in multi-state payroll tax compliance (SUI, SIT, garnishments, ACA).
- Proven ability to manage and oversee offshore or distributed payroll teams.
- Experience in high-growth or acquisition-driven environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Finance, or Information Systems.
Nice to have
- CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification.
- Experience leading major UKG implementations or module transformations.
- Background in private equity-backed or roll-up business models.
- Experience supporting seasonal or 1099-heavy workforces.
