What you will do

  • Manage a portfolio of SME clients with turnovers between £3m and £10m.
  • Identify and deliver commercial banking solutions including lending, working capital, and cashflow facilities.
  • Originate and win new-to-bank business through strategic outreach and networking.
  • Conduct credit assessments and prepare proposals in line with risk appetite and policy.
  • Support clients with ESG priorities and Net Zero transition strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal specialist teams to provide comprehensive financial solutions.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in Commercial or Corporate Banking managing SME or trading-business clients.
  • Proven track record in originating or winning new business within a competitive banking environment.
  • Strong capability in portfolio management and credit risk assessment.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships and influence external partners.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with knowledge of commercial lending documentation.
  • Must be based in or able to work from the Yorkshire region in a hybrid capacity.
