What you will do

• Lead and mentor engineering teams building production-quality software for an AI-native content creation platform.
• Drive technical strategy and architecture for backend services, media processing pipelines, APIs, and ML model integrations.
• Establish high engineering standards through code reviews, testing strategies, and maintainable software development processes.
• Partner with ML scientists, product managers, and creative professionals to translate requirements into engineering roadmaps.
• Manage integrations with industry-standard Digital Content Creation (DCC) tools such as Adobe Animate, After Effects, and Maya.
• Own operational excellence for production systems, including reliability, monitoring, and incident response.

Requirements

• Must be based in or be able to work on-site in Culver City, CA.
• 3+ years of engineering team management experience.
• 7+ years of experience working directly within engineering teams.
• 8+ years of experience leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services.
• 3+ years of experience designing and architecting scalable and reliable systems.
• Deep knowledge of the full software development life cycle, coding standards, and livesite operations.

Nice to have

• Experience communicating technical designs and product strategy to senior leadership and users.
• Proven track record in recruiting, hiring, and coaching software engineers to improve their effectiveness.
